Our adventure on Rapa Nui, the original name for Easter Island, continues. Our last full day was delicious. We tasted local icecream, fish, seafood and another local beer with our friend Nicolas.

14 days full of Rapa Nui discovery
How is it possible, two weeks on Easter Island are already over? In 14 days, so many things happened:
- We drove tiny but perfectly comfortable rental cars across the island (read about day 2 here),
- we enjoyed a romantic sunrise at the famous Tongariki site (read about day 3 here),
- we successfully fought giant cockroaches (read about day 4 here),
- we re-oiled our rusty muscles at the municipal gym (read about day 5 here),
- we discovered local drinks (read about day 6 here),
- we found ways around the park entrance for a moai sunset in Hanga Roa (read about day 7 here),
- we chose the best itineraries and a Rapa Nui local guide for our touristic island discoveries (read about day 8 here),
- we had late nights out after of sudden tropical rainfalls (read about day 9 here),
- we uncovered mysteries and legends in our two full-day tours across Rapa Nui (read about tour 1 here and discover our tour 2 here),
- we found a private paradise beach in Ovahe (read about day 11 here),
- we fell in love with the energetic, traditional dance and music at the Kari Kari Cultural Ballet (read about day 12 here).
A last evening our faourite restaurants
The last evening was fully dedicated to our friend Nicolas, who we honestly hadn’t met often enough during all this time. Nicolas took us to his favorite restaurant Makona, where our mouths were watering at the delicious fish and seafood. He had already recommended us Le-Frits Restobar, which made me dream of ceviche empanadas again and again.
Nicolas, the beer lover, also did not miss the opportunity to introduce us to the second local craft beer: Taina. Our last evening could’t have ended better.
